Firefighters moved in and out of a thick wall of noxious smoke as they battled a structure fire east of Anderson Tuesday afternoon. The building was some sort of large outbuilding, possibly a barn or a large shed about 40 by 40 feet in size with unknown contents, located behind a house on Mossom Lane off Dersch Road near Prairie School. The structure is apparently a total loss, but firefighters prevented the flames from spreading to nearby homes.
