For the 5th year in a row, you can make donations to local non-profits on-line for “Giving Tuesday”. Organized by the Shasta Regional Community Foundation, 176 local groups in Shasta, Tehama and Siskiyou Counties are seeking financial help for various projects and programs. Only 501(C) (3) nonprofit, public organizations are included. They’ve gone through an extensive vetting process, including rigorous financial review and examination of good standing with the Internal Revenue Service, the State of California, and Shasta Regional Community Foundation. The minimum donation amount is 10 Dollars. The online credit card processing fees will be 5.85%.Although the on-line event is on Tuesday, from 6AM to 8PM, donors can schedule their donations early.
