The Shasta College annual Country Christmas Fair is this weekend. The event helps fund agriculture programs at the college. Admission is free for the event, which features a farm animal petting zoo, hay rides, farm tours and visits with Santa Claus. There will also be a lot of student made gifts and food for sale. The students have Christmas Trees for sale as well, including Douglas Firs, Noble Firs, Silver Tips, Grand Firs and Nordmann Firs. 6 canned food items gets $3 off the price of a tree, with the food going to the Good News Rescue Mission, or a $5 discount is offered for veterans or active duty with a military I.D. The event is this Saturday and Sunday from 9AM to 4PM at the college farm.
