Chronic Offender Arrested Over 16 Times Since 2001

A man with 16 arrests in Shasta County since 2001 has been apprehended again. On Christmas night around 11:40PM, 36-year-old Jacoby David Woolery was stopped by a Redding Police Officer in a reported stolen vehicle on Market Street near Quartz Hill and was arrested. Police and CHP investigators say Woolery has allegedly been heavily involved in theft and drugs, including an arrest on October 8th for possession of a stolen vehicle and evading a police officer, again on November 3rd for possession of a controlled substance and yet again on November 19th for vehicle theft and possession of a stolen vehicle. Finishing out November, Woolery was arrested on the 29th for possessing illegal drugs again. In December, Woolery was arrested on the 12th for possession of stolen property. The long list of thefts being attributed to Woolery include a $200,000 burglary reported on December 3rd, which included a $30,000 patio boat. He’s also suspected of stealing a cargo trailer, $20,000 worth of tools, another pickup and a Cal-Trans credit card. Despite being on probation for a previous felony conviction and being arrested six times since October 8th, Woolery has spent less than nine total days in custody. Investigators have recovered some of the stolen property, but are still looking for more.
