An arrest has been made in a Siskiyou County murder. The body of 31-year-old Spencer Richard Hodgson was found last April 8th in a ravine off Yreka Walker Road near the Community of Klamath River northwest of Yreka. An autopsy confirmed the cause of death was gunshot wounds. Hodgson had a home in the area, and had been a longtime resident of Santa Cruz, where he still had friends and family. An aerial search led to the discovery of Hodgson’s pickup truck elsewhere in the woods, along with his dog, which was still alive. Tuesday night, detectives with the sheriff’s department major crimes unit arrested 22-year-old Timothy Chase McDonald of Yreka. his bail was set at 1 Million Dollars. Sheriff Jon Lopey recently reached out to the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office in the search for clues. Leads resulting from the request helped detectives zero in on McDonald.
