Redding Police say they know the identity of a marijuana robber who shot a man at an East Redding motel Wednesday evening. Officers were called at 6 O’clock to the Red Lion off East Cypress and Bechelli as 39-year-old Udom Chao arrived at Mercy Hospital with a gunshot wound that went all the way through both of his legs. Surveillance showed the robber pointing a handgun at the victims while walking out of a room carrying two garbage bags of stolen marijuana. He left in a ford fusion, which police found abandoned on Cedars Road at El Reno Lane in South Redding Thursday night. The suspect is believed to be 38-year-old Terrell Kurt Myers of Fresno.
