It’s hard to claim you’re not the guy who stole the surveillance cameras when you’ve obviously been caught on surveillance. That’s what 43-year-old Gregory Tewart the Second learned when he was arrested by Corning Police last month. Tewart had broken into a home for sale and stole a TV monitor and two cameras. The burglary was a felony but the stolen property was worth less than $950 so it was a misdemeanor. He’s been sentenced to 350 days in Tehama County Jail and 5 years formal probation.
