Man Reportedly Threatens Several People With A Battleaxe

A man was arrested in North Redding early Sunday morning after reports that he was threatening people and swinging a small battleaxe at them. Redding Police were called at 4:17AM to the parking lot of the AM/PM on Lake Boulevard. When they arrived, 60-year-old Donald Priddy was laying on the sidewalk in front of Cassidy’s Auto Lube next door with the axe next to him. Officers ordered him to move away from the axe and warned him that Hank the K9 would be unleashed on him, but he didn’t move. Hank was released and Priddy was taken into custody. After a stop at the hospital to be treated for his dog bites, Priddy was booked into jail for brandishing the axe, trespassing and resisting arrest.
