A Redding man has been arrested for drug and weapon charges after looking suspicious hanging around an East Redding coffee shop. A little before 11PM Tuesday night, 23-year-old Eduardo Ruiz had his car backed up to the Starbucks Coffee building off Churn Creek Road across the parking lot from Home Depot. When asked by Redding Police, he reportedly admitted that he had a gun in the car. A search was done and officers reported finding a semi-auto 9 millimeter handgun, as well as a Meth pipe. Ruiz was placed under arrest and searched, leading to the alleged discovery of a baggie in his sock with about a Gram of Meth, and a holster for the gun tucked into his waistband. Ruiz was booked into jail with bail of $25,000.
