LaMalfa Wont Attend Candidates Forum Hosted By League Of Women Voters

Four of the 5 people running for the 1st District seat in Congress will appear at a candidate’s forum this month, but the incumbent won’t be there. The League of Women Voters of the Redding Area has announced the location of the public meeting. It will take place at Old City Hall, 1313 Market Street, near the corner with Shasta Street in Downtown Redding. This forum is open to the public and offers the voters of Shasta County the opportunity to ask questions of the congressional candidates. Four of them, Gregory Cheadle, Audrey Denney, Joseph Letourneau, and Rob Bydon have confirmed. Congressman Doug LaMalfa’s campaign office said he will not participate in any forum for the primary election on March 3rd. The forum will begin at 6PM on Tuesday, February 18th and last approximately 90 minutes, followed by time for attendees to meet individually with the candidates. Attendees are reminded not to display campaign materials in the room where the forum is held. The doors will open to the public at 5:30PM. The forum will be recorded for the community access channel and will be available online.
