Man With Stolen Shotgun Found Sleeping In Vehicle In Shasta Lake

A parolee with an apparently stolen shotgun was arrested Thursday by deputies in the City of Shasta Lake. At 10AM someone reported that a man was asleep in a car on Shasta Street with a shotgun in his lap. While deputies were on the way, the caller said the man had awakened and was climbing over the fence of a nearby home with the shotgun in his hand. Deputies quickly confronted 25-year-old Marcus Steven Williams in the front yard of the home. They told him to drop the shotgun, which he did. It was loaded. Investigation showed the Remington 20 gauge matched the description of a gun taken in a burglary Wednesday night. Williams also reportedly had the burglary victim’s keys. Williams was booked into jail on multiple charges.
