A man released from prison was arrested Monday night after being found with a stolen gun, according to Redding Police. Just before Midnight, Officer Tim Jaegel stopped a car for a vehicle code violation and learned that the driver, 36-year-old Michael Brookshire, is on Post Release Supervision and is subject to warrantless search. A .25 caliber semi-auto handgun was found that had been reported stolen out of Alabama. Brookshire was booked into jail. Officer Jaegel has seized 9 guns in the past 13 months.
