Modoc County authorities believe they have found the remains of a young man from Nevada who disappeared amid suspicious circumstances a few months ago. 22-year-old Ian Cole Griffin of Sparks was reported missing in November, the same day the car he was traveling in was found parked along Highway 139 south of Tulelake in Modoc County. Officials had appealed to the public for help in locating Griffin. On Sunday human remains were found west of the Agricultural Inspection Station on Highway 139. Evidence at the scene points to Griffin. The Modoc County Sheriff’s Office now says foul play is not suspected.
