A candidate for State Assembly is upset over an error made on the ballot for Lassen County. Redding Doctor Paul Dhanuka is running against Republican Megan Dahle for the First Assembly District seat. Dhanuka is running independently as a “no party preference” candidate, but the Lassen County ballot apparently has him listed as a Democrat. Dhanuka is demanding that the ballot be invalidated, reprinted, and remailed to all Lassen County voters. The Lassen County Clerk will be sending out the corrected ballots as soon as possible. The Democratic Candidate for the assembly seat is farmer and watershed scientist Elizabeth Betancourt.
