Lack Of Rain In February May Set Record

This year’s dry February is setting a record. The long range forecast doesn’t include any precipitation for the rest of the month. if that holds, it would be the first time since records have been kept that no rainfall is recorded in Redding in February. The next driest February was recorded in 1988 when just 14 hundredths of an inch fell. Two years ago, the seasonal total as of February was very low, but a wet March that year brought the rainfall back to normal.
