Three Injured In Collision In Happy Valley

Poor timing injured three people in a crash in Happy Valley Wednesday afternoon. At around 3:30PM, a Honda Civic was eastbound on China Gulch Road and stopped at the stopsign at Canyon Road, driven by 27-year-old Danika Anderson with 50-year-old Collin Berlet as a passenger. Meanwhile, 62-year-old David Shank was southbound on Canyon in a GMC Envoy. The CHP says Anderson pulled the Honda into the path of the GMC and they collided. The engine caught fire in the GMC, but it was quickly extinguished. Everyone was wearing their seatbelt and they all had minor injuries. The CHP does not suspect drugs or alcohol.
