Jury Convicts Man On Attempted Murder Charges For 2019 Shooting

A Shasta County jury has found a man guilty for shooting a 23-year-old man in North Redding last year. Early the morning of last March 24th, Joseph Allan Lawrinmore was taken to a hospital with a single gunshot wound. Several witnesses were at the hospital with him and they were interviewed by Shasta County Sheriff’s Deputies. They said the shooting happened at a home on Blackberry Lane, located off Beltline north of Oasis. The shooter was 34-year-old Jacob Calvin Jones. With help from the RPD and the CHP, deputies surrounded the Blackberry Lane home and took Jones into custody. He was convicted Wednesday of attempted murder and assault with a firearm. Sentencing is set for March 23rd.
