A sudden downpour sent some vehicles sliding Monday afternoon. In the area of Interstate Five between Knighton Road and the Sacramento River, there were at least a half dozen weather related crashes just between 4 O’clock and 5 O’clock. During that hour on that couple of miles of roadway, wrecked vehicles included a Corvette, a grey sedan, a maroon Ford, a black Honda Civic, a Toyota RAV4, and a grey Ford Focus. Injuries were all apparently minor, according to CHP dispatch.
