Public Health Officer Urges People Follow Governor’s Shelter-In-Place Order

Public health officials are reiterating what they’ve been saying all along, and what the Governor’s order mandated last week: people need to keep away from each other and avoid traveling. Public Health Officer Karen Ramstrom says there are undoubtedly a number of cases that have not yet been diagnosed, and the situation will get worse. Social distancing is by far the most effective way to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, for which there is no treatment and which has a potential for unfathomable calamity. Humans are social creatures and we enjoy each other’s company, but for survival’s sake, some reclusiveness for a while could make all the difference.
