A burglar broke into three different businesses in Corning. Between last Sunday night and last Monday morning, someone turned off the power before damaging windows, doors and locks to break into the Flying Boat Chinese Restaurant, Prime Cut Hair Design, and a car at Olive City Olive Repair, all located at Martini Plaza on Solano Street. Surveillance video showed a man with a distinctive black jacket, a giants hat and a blue backpack. The same man stole a cell phone charger the next day at 7-11, and he was identified through surveillance as Brandon Wade Garry. On Friday Corning Police Officers were at Martini Plaza when Garry arrived on his bicycle. He was chased for several blocks before crashing while trying to cross the railroad tracks. He resisted arrest, inflicting scrapes to one of the officers. He was reportedly in possession of burglary tools, stolen goods and Methamphetamine.
