San Jose Man Arrested After Standoff At Site Of New Courthouse

A man drew a large group of spectators, including many construction workers, when he held off Redding Police for about 2 and a half hours Monday afternoon at the new courthouse under construction in Downtown Redding. Identified as 29-year-old Tyler Case of San Jose, he was reportedly picking up tools and threatening workers, so the site was evacuated as negotiation got underway. Eventually officers were able to grab case and take him into custody. He was armed with three makeshift knives.
