There have been 230 people who’ve tested negative to COVID-19 in Shasta County, including 90 tests done by private labs. There remains a serious shortage of testing materials, which County Health Officer Doctor Karen Ramstrom says is “quite frustrating”. Shasta Community Health says they’re awaiting availability of Aabbott Labs’ COVID point-of-care test kits that will show a positive result in 5 minutes and a negative result in 13 minutes.
