Whiskeytown Park Remains Open With Limited Services

Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is one of the nation’s few national park facilities that remains open to the public, but services have been greatly curtailed. The park had already closed the visitors center and all tent campgrounds. They’ve now closed all the park’s restrooms until further notice. Park law enforcement rangers continue to patrol the park and enforce the rules. Visitors are urged to practice “leave no trace” principles, including a “pack it in, pack it out” policy.
