Shasta County Superior Courts have extended their partial closure. All felony cases are being heard in the two courtrooms in the jail building. There are no preliminary hearings except when defendants refuse to waive the right to a speedy trial. Civil matters and Family Law cases are only being heard in essential or emergency circumstances. Misdemeanors, traffic cases, and small claims are all continued. Documents for the Clerk’s offices can be left in drop boxes in the Courthouse lobby. Clerks can be reached at 245-6789.
