Two people were shot at an apartment complex in Chico Wednesday night, and one of them has died. A little before 9 O’Clock multiple 9-1-1 callers reported the shooting in the parking lot of Nord Gardens on Nord Avenue. Chico Police arrived to find 21-year-old Joshua Elysee lying in the parking lot with a gunshot wound. Elysee was rushed to Enloe Hospital, where he later died. A second victim, a 16-year-old boy who had been shot in the arm, was also transported to Enloe. He’s since been treated and released. Detectives are seeking witnesses. There is no suspect in custody.
