Council To Vote On Local Economic Stimulus Package

The Redding City Council will be voting on an economic stimulus package during their meeting Tuesday. It includes another refund to Redding Electric Utility customers, and a utility grant program for commercial customers. Another part of the package would fast-track some deferred maintenance projects, saving energy and putting local contractors and support businesses to work. The Shasta County Economic Development Corporation estimates the projects would generate 328 new jobs and $30 Million of economic impact. The council has moved to a virtual format. Agendas, staff reports and instructions for viewing and making comments are at cityofredding.org.
