Update: Coroner ID’s Teen Killed In Crash Near Corning

A teenager killed when he rolled his car in the Corning area early Sunday morning has been identified. The Corning Observer says the coroner has identified him as 19-year-old Chad Torres of Corning. At around 3AM Sunday, Torres was driving a 2001 Honda Civic eastbound on Corning Road at an unknown speed. West of Freeman Schoolhouse Road, the car went into a curve and drifted onto the gravel shoulder. As the car made contact with the pavement again, it rolled over. Torres was not wearing a seatbelt and he was ejected from the car, suffering fatal injuries. The coroner says there’s a strong possibility that alcohol was a factor.
