A missing Mount Shasta woman has been found dead in the Sacramento River. Just before 11 O’clock Sunday night, Siskiyou County Deputies were called to a home on First Street in Dunsmuir. The resident said he and two women had been socializing in the home and on the outside deck, and they had been in and out of the hot tub. When they noticed one of the women was missing, they found evidence that she may have fallen into the river, which runs right past the house. A search of the are was done, and deputies searched downriver as well. Monday morning search and rescue and the CHP launched an intensive search and the body was spotted from a helicopter about a mile and a half downriver in Shasta County near Crag View Drive. She’s been identified as 40-year-old Erin Rachel Wagner. The Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the circumstances.
