CHP: Beer Cans Found At Fatal Crash In Tehama County

A Corning man was killed in a rollover crash Saturday afternoon, according to the Corning Observer. The CHP says 66-year-old Juan Cuellar and his three dogs were southbound on Hall Road when he lost control of his Nissan pickup near Easy Street. The pickup veered off the road and went up an embankment, rolling over several times into a field before coming to rest on its roof. Cuellar was ejected from the truck along the way, suffering fatal injuries. One of his dogs was also killed. The other two dogs were injured and they were picked up by Cuellar’s family. The CHP says the crash scene was littered with beer cans and they’re awaiting toxicology reports to determine if alcohol was a factor.
