Shasta County is one of three counties statewide that has implemented a system allowing people to resolve their traffic court cases online. Grant funding has supported the tool, through which someone can request a fine payment plan, community service in lieu of a fine or reduction of a fine amount. Eight county superior courts in California were selected to pilot the program, but it’s only operational in Tulare, San Francisco and Shasta Counties. The tool can be found at shasta.courts.ca.gov.
