A Cottonwood teenager was badly hurt in a crash a little after Midnight Saturday night. The 18-year-old man was driving a Ford F-250 flatbed truck on the northbound exit from Interstate 5 to Gas Point Road when he left the pavement and collided with a tree. That caused the truck to overturn and the driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected. He suffered major injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital. It’s not known if drugs or alcohol played a role. The man’s identity has not yet been confirmed.
