Home Invasion Reported In Hayfork

Suspects are being sought in a home invasion robbery in the Hayfork area. Trinity County Sheriff’s Deputies and CHP Officers responded at 7 O’clock Sunday morning after a 9-1-1 call was made by the victims. Five people had been bound with zip ties and one of them was badly beaten on the head and face, requiring a trip to the hospital. The victims could not provide descriptions of the suspects. There were as few as 3 and as many as 5 of them. They were all wearing masks and one was armed with a handgun. They got away with a large amount of cash, and escaped by stealing a 2012 white Toyota Tacoma pickup with license plate number 6-7-4-2-6-Z-1. Investigators are hoping some items of evidence at the scene will yield DNA from the robbers.
