Sacramento Man Arrested On Arson Charges In Hayfork

An arson arrest was made Monday in Hayfork. Deputies were on patrol when they saw a fire burning in an outbuilding at a Hayfork area business. They called for firefighters and got to work with fire extinguishers. The Hayfork Fire Department arrived and quickly contained the flames. Evidence found at the scene indicated the fire had been intentionally started as a warming fire by 32-year-old Sou Saetern of Sacramento. He had apparently fled when the fire got out of his control. Saetern was contacted later and reportedly admitted to starting the fire. He was arrested on an out-of-county warrant and arson charges are pending.
