Thursday Update: COVID-19 Cases Remain At 32

The total number of confirmed Coronavirus cases in Shasta County remains at 32. One man is sick. 4 people have died and the other 27 have recovered. 8 people are quarantined due to possible exposure. 2,408 tests have shown negative results.

Trinity County, which had no Coronavirus cases until Friday, now has two. Tehama County’s only confirmed patient has died. Butte County has had 20 cases. Siskiyou County has had 5. Glenn County has had 6. There have been 64 cases in Humboldt County. There are still none reported in Lassen or Modoc Counties.

Anyone, even with no symptoms, can get tested for free at a Covid testing station at Shasta College or at the Red Bluff Community Center and Corning High School. If insurance doesn’t cover the cost, the state will. Appointments must be made online at lhi.care/covidtesting
Those with symptoms, which include cough, fever and difficulty breathing, should still contact their healthcare provider or Shasta County Public Health at 225-5591 to set a mobile testing appointment. For Tehama County, drive-through testing is being done at the Dignity Health Solano Street Medical Clinic in Corning. Appointments can be made at 824-4002.
