Campgrounds Begin Opening In Shasta-Trinity Forest

Most campgrounds and other outdoor facilities in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest are now reopened. The Forest Service asks that visitors avoid gathering in large groups, maintain social distancing on trails and other areas, and pack their trash back out when they leave. Because of a reduction in staffing, forest visitors should try to be as self-sufficient as possible. Also, it’s best to camp locally because traveling long distances has a damaging effect on Coronavirus containment. A list of re-opened facilities is at fs.usda.gov/stnf.
