A Redding man has reached a plea deal for threatening and beating his girlfriend and her sister. On February 12th Thomas Charles Browning got into a fight with his girlfriend’s sister at a home on Bonnie Drive. He slapped her face, pushed her against a wall by her throat and started strangling her. When the other woman intervened browning pushed her down some stairs. Browning left, but called a short time later and told his girlfriend that he would be back to kill her. On Thursday Browning pleaded guilty assault and criminal threats. He’ll be sentenced to 7 years 4 months in state prison.
