Deputies Seek Leads In Fatal Stabbing Of 88-Year-Old Woman

An elderly Los Molinos woman is dead and her husband is fighting for his life after being attacked in their home by an unknown knife-wielding intruder. Tehama County Deputies were called at 7:45AM Saturday morning to the home on Josephine Avenue. 91-year-old Homer Glenn Severs, suffering from a stab wound, had made it to a neighboring family member’s home. He was taken by helicopter to a hospital and rushed into surgery. He remains in critical condition. His wife, 88-year-old Loreen May Severs, was found in the couple’s home dead with a stab wound to her upper torso. There are no suspects identified and a motive is not known. Investigators are appealing to residents of the area who may have surveillance footage from between 5AM and 9AM Saturday to call 529-7920.
