Deputy Fired Over Racist Post On Social Media

A racist social media posting has cost a Trinity County Sheriff’s Deputy his job. Last Monday Sheriff Tim Saxon learned of what he described as an inappropriate, discriminatory meme related to the death of George Floyd that had been posted by Deputy Brandon Woodhouse on his private social media account. Deputy Woodhouse was placed on administrative leave pending an investigation as the sheriff apologized to the community, saying law enforcement should be held to a higher standard of honor and integrity. On Friday the Sheriff announced that Woodhouse was no longer employed by Trinity County.
