Redding’s Neighborhood Police Unit has marked it’s 2000th arrest. The unit, consisting of four officers and a supervisor, was established in January of 2016 to focus on certain high crime areas, houses and motels. They’ve seized 23 pounds of Methamphetamine, 14 pounds of Heroin, 2 pounds of Cocaine and 118 guns. The 2000 arrests include 1250 misdemeanors 750 felonies.
