A wanted 44-year-old man was taken into custody the hard way Thursday in Anderson. At 10:45AM Gary Glen Fox was seen jumping the back fence onto his own property on Nicole Court and going in the back door. He had an outstanding warrant for burglary, so Anderson Police went to get him. There was no answer at the front door, so they went to the back door and heard movement inside. Two family members came out and let officers go inside to search for Fox. After while officers figured out that he was in the attic, but he refused to surrender. Pepper spray was inserted in the attic, but Fox still would not give up. Officers then accessed the attic from the roof and could see Fox laying in the attic insulation but he refused to respond. More pepper spray was used and when Fox tried to move the ceiling collapsed and he fell into the living room. He tried to climb back into the attic but Fritz the Sheriff’s K-9 apprehended him. After being treated at a hospital for dog bites, Fox was booked into jail.
