A Tehama County man is accused of raping a woman after her Halloween party. 21-year-old Gavin Parker had apparently been invited to the party on Saturday at a home on Mina Avenue. The 22-year-old woman hosting the party believes that Parker gave her an unknown substance to make it hard for her to maintain consciousness. After most of the guests had left, Parker asked if he could stay the night and he was told he could sleep on the couch. When they were alone, Parker reportedly made a pass at the victim and she refused. He then allegedly forcibly raped and strangled her until she passed out. Parker is on parole for domestic violence. He was arrested at the parole office in Red Bluff on Monday.
