A child molestation investigation that spanned two states has resulted in convictions and sentences in both states. 35-year-old Anthony Joseph Gonzalez repeatedly committed lewd and lascivious acts against a child under the age of 14 in Shasta County between 2014 and 2016. The crimes were revealed during an investigation in Jackson County, Oregon, where Gonzalez has already been sentenced. He was sentenced Thursday in Shasta County to 14 years in state prison. He’ll begin to serve that sentence in April of next year when he completes his term in Oregon.
