A Redding Police K-9 caught a suspected thief Wednesday night in a South Redding neighborhood. At 10:15PM, officers got a report of someone trying to siphon gas from vehicles on Girvan Road. When they spotted 22-year-old Matthew Conner walking in the area they stopped to talk to him but he reportedly ran away. After about an hour and 20 minutes, Conner was found under an RV in someone’s yard and surrendered when he saw Chase the K-9.
