APD K9 Sniffs Out Heroin And Meth During Traffic Stop

An Anderson Police K9 sniffed out some drugs early Saturday morning. An officer stopped a car for a violation on Balls Ferry Road off Northbound I-5. The driver, 40-year-old Desiree Mize, is on probation for escape and identity theft. The passenger, 34-year-old Roberto Sansalone, is on parole for kidnapping. Both are subject to warrantless search. Ivan the K9 indicated drugs in the engine compartment, where officers reported finding 150 Grams of Heroin split into 6 bags, as well as 66 Grams of Methamphetamine.
