An Anderson Police vehicle ended up on its roof while in a high speed chase Sunday. At around 11AM an officer tried to pull over a car on Ox Yoke Road but the driver didn’t yield and a chase began, heading south on Highway 273 with lights and siren blaring. When they reached Biggs Street next to the fairgrounds a car pulled into the intersection and was struck by the police interceptor. The suspect kept going and the car was later found abandoned nearby off North Street. It had been stolen from Win-River Casino. The officer was treated at a hospital for minor injuries. The other driver was not injured. The CHP is investigating.
