A routine check led to a Heroin bust in a supermarket parking lot Friday night, according to Redding Police. An officer saw some people loitering around a car at Food Maxx who didn’t seem to be doing anything, so he stopped and made contact. 32-year-old Sarah Masters of Yreka, who was sitting in the car, had a misdemeanor warrant so she was detained. Chase the K9 was called to the scene and he gave a positive sign that drugs were in the car so it was searched. 30 Grams of Heroin was reportedly found where Masters had been sitting. She was booked into jail. Two other people who were there were released.
