A Hayfork man has died after driving over a cliff in Trinity County. The 35-year-old man, whose name has not been released, was northbound on Highway 3 south of Deerlick Springs Road at an unknown speed when he failed to make left curve in the road and his 2000 Ford tumbled down a very steep hillside. The CHP says he was not wearing his seatbelt and was fully ejected. He died at the scene. The crash happened Monday morning, though the exact time is unknown as there were no witnesses.
