The Redding Aquatic Center is about to get a $1.2 Million upgrade. Community Services Director Kim Niemer says the pool, which sits near Sacramento River, is in dire need of repairs because of the high water table and persistent cracks in the pool. In addition to re-plastering, a major ADA upgrade will also take place allowing those with disabilities better access. The pool had not had a retrofit since it was built in 2003.
