Murder Trials Set To Resume In Siskiyou County After COVID Delays

Siskiyou County is about to resume jury trials, which have not taken place since march because of COVID concerns. There are several murder trials pending. The first to court will be 38-year-old Robert Henry Tessmer Jr. of Weed. In October of last year Siskiyou County Deputies found the body of 70-year-old Donald Joseph Hobrecht buried in the backyard of his house in the Carrick Addition. Tessmer and a companion were apparently living in Hobrecht’s house and driving his car. Tessmer, who remains in Siskiyou County Jail on $1 Million bail, has a trial set to begin on December 7th. He’s charged with murder with a serious felony prior strike special allegation.
