CHP Arrests Man For Felony DUI After Crash On I-5

A man from Central California has been arrested for drunk driving after a fatal crash in Tehama County Tuesday night. At around 11:40PM, a Nissan Pathfinder driven by 52-year-old Mohammad Khesrawi was northbound on Interstate 5 south of Tehama Avenue when he collided into the rear of a 2009 Subaru Forester that was traveling ahead of him. The man driving the Subaru, 40-year-old Ea Douangaphay of Weed, lost control of the SUV and it overturned. He suffered minor injuries while the front seat passenger, 53-year-old Ting Leutmixay, suffered a possible broken leg and broken arm. The backseat passenger, a 64-year-old woman, was ejected and killed. The CHP says Khesrawi caused the crash due to his level of intoxication and he was arrested for felony DUI.
